Banksy. We don’t know if he is a man, a woman, a group of people or some kind of brand created by some brilliant marketer. The truth is that he (we’ll just refer to him as a he) decided to live in anonymity, making his art his only voice and the only thing that can describe what he stands for, which I personally think is brilliant. In October 2013 he disrupted NYC with his painting residency Better Out Than In, revealing a piece of art work every day during 30 days all around the city, to the point that Mayor Michael Bloomberg asked the police to hunt him down.

Most of his works were destroyed, covered with painting and graffiti or stolen just hours after announcing their whereabouts. There are a few that were protected by neighbors and survived.
